"A parent's heart bared, beating forever outside its chest" Debra Ginsberg
Blueberry Rain
I saw its face in the rain
Crying out for me
I felt it ripping me open
like a freshly peeled orange
You sucked the life out of me
I saw my reflection looking back at me
Drenched in blood
As I watched the milk drip down her heart shaped lips
I saw its face in the rain
Crying out for me
As I watched them pull you from me
I can only imagine the emptiness you must've felt
being torn away from the last heartbeat you'll ever hear
My womb has become a tomb
I watched as you took your first breath
I watched as you took your last
So much midnight about her, you feel like she's cursed
