One Night Stand

Before I fall asleep
You must know
That my thighs play storage for the weight of the world

Before I fall asleep
You must know
The thought of your gentle touch felt like hands
of a past man whose presence still haunts the air

Before I fall asleep
You must know
My father was once a poet
And you cant seem to write a rhyme for your broken daughters
Slaughter, bent over back, ass cracked, slapped, in videos
There is nothing pedal bike pretty about broken

Before I fall asleep
You must know
Your voice don't sound like his
No matter how many lights I turn off

Before I fall asleep you must know
After the fifth one night stand
with the forth different man
for the third time this month
I wrote a poem about how two is the loneliest number
that I've ever known

When you wake up I will be gone
And the best excuse I have for leaving is
"You
